Following his time at Chengdu Children’s Camp, A-Ming embarked on the ADLINK Youth Exploration Camp, stepping into a journey unlike any he had experienced before. ADLINK Youth Exploration Camp: A-Ming 's Insight
“This Western Sichuan Exploration Camp was, for me, a complete mind-body-spirit experience. Traveling across the plateau, ancient towns, and sacred lakes, I deeply felt the grandeur of nature and the depth of human faith. The highland sky stretches endlessly; every time I looked up, I felt small, yet at the same time embraced by the vastness of the world. It made my mind feel especially clear and serene.
In Yuzixi, my teammates and I searched for the best photo spots and took countless pictures. I had hoped to see the ‘sunset at the end of the world,’ but thick clouds and mist obscured the legendary view. Though a little disappointing, the unexpected joy was the quiet moments we shared, cheering each other on in the cold wind while waiting. At that moment, I realized that the beauty of travel is not only what the eyes see, but also the companionship along the way.
The snow-capped mountains and lakes of Daocheng Yading were the most breathtaking scenes of this journey. Walking in the thin air was exhausting, but seeing my teammates persevere gave me strength. Some shared the weight of backpacks, others reminded each other to drink water — this mutual care made the journey warmer. At the summit, I did not rush to take photos; instead, I paused to imprint everything into memory. Then I shared smiles with my teammates, knowing that the hardship and effort along the way were what made this moment so moving. Lifting our cameras and phones, we captured not just the landscapes, but also our smiles, sweat, and shared achievements — recording a journey of completing dreams together.
At night back in the hotel, when we gathered to share reflections, laughter and sincerity blended into the most precious memories. Everyone shared unique perspectives — some spoke of awe toward nature, others of cherishing the moment. For me, the greatest gain was walking the plateau together, marveling at nature’s grandeur, and enjoying the journey as a group.
The nights spent in Xinduqiao were the warmest moments of the journey. After long days on highland trails, we wandered the streets together, soaking in local life. Simple conversations under the starlit sky, sharing stories and dreams, became unexpectedly precious. Years later, perhaps what I will remember most is not the majestic mountains, but the nights spent walking and laughing together in foreign streets.
Finally, I want to express my sincerest gratitude to the ADLINK Education Foundation and my companions. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and cared for one another along the way, and thank you to the mountains, rivers, and Tibetan culture for teaching me humility, respect, and the value of friendship. This Exploration Camp will remain one of my most treasured memories and continue to inspire me on the road ahead.”
